Change a Claim
You can change a School Nutrition Program reimbursement claim throughout the program year as necessary within the time restrictions established by USDA guidelines and the state agency policies and procedures. The status of the claim determines which procedure you use.
- Edit the existing claim - Change an unapproved claim (statuses include Errors and Pending Submission).
- Revise the existing claim - Revise an unpaid site claim (status Paid). The CNPweb keeps a copy of all paid versions of your monthly claims, the original and all revisions.
The procedure for changing a claim with any unpaid status is different from the procedure for changing a claim with the Paid status.
Notes:
- You cannot change a sponsor claim with the Pending Approval or Approved status.
- You can change a site claim with the Pending Approval or Approved status until the sponsor claim has the Pending Approval or Approved status.
- You must submit all new claims within the 60 days of the close of the claim month, with one exception allowed every 36 months.
- The CNPweb uses yellow highlighting to show changes on the form.
