You can revise an approved School Nutrition Program site application. The CNPweb submits the revised version to the state agency for review and approval. When the state agency reviews the application, they can either approve it or send it back to you for correction.
When you submit an original application at the start of the program year, you submit it as part of your application packet. However, when you revise an approved application during the program year, you submit the application directly to the state agency, apart from your packet. For this reason, you must check the submit checkbox on the form to submit the revised application to the state agency for review and approval.
To revise an approved site application:
The CNPweb displays the Site Information Sheet.
The CNPweb checks your site application for input errors.
If the CNPweb finds errors, it displays the Site Information Sheet - Post Confirmation page with the Errors status. You must correct all errors and resubmit the form. For more information, see Correct Site Application Input Errors.
If the CNPweb finds no errors, it displays the Site Information Sheet - Post Confirmation page with the Pending Approval status.
State Agency Approval
The CNPweb submits your revised site application to the state agency for review and approval.
The state agency either approves your revision (Approved status), or asks you to make corrections (Needs Correction status). You can view the status of the revised application on the Sponsor Status - Applications tab.
If the state agency returns your revised application for correction, you must edit it and make the required changes. For more information about correcting a site application returned by the state agency, see Edit a Site Application.
