Activity 1: Submit a Packet

Before the start of a new program year, your organization submits its School Nutrition Program application packet with online forms and off-line forms.

To submit an application packet, your organization completes each of the following steps.

Packet Step 1: Submit a Sponsor Application

At the start of the program year, each sponsor must submit a sponsor application as part of the School Nutrition Program enrollment process. The sponsor application describes your organization's participation in the School Nutrition Program.

Packet Step 2: Submit Site Applications

At the start of the program year, each sponsor that is an independent site or a sponsor of sites must submit one or more site applications as part of the School Nutrition Program enrollment process. Each site application describes the site and its participation in the School Nutrition Program and subprograms.

Packet Step 3: Submit Off-line Forms

Your organization must complete and submit each of the off-line forms that the state agency requires from School Nutrition Program sponsors. You report the date you submit each off-line form in your packet.

Packet Step 4: Submit Your Packet

After you create every online form in your packet and submit all required off-line forms, your organization can submit its application packet to the state agency for review and approval.

Packet Step 5: Correct Errors and Resubmit Packet

When the state agency reviews your packet, they may return one or more of your applications to you for corrections. Your organization must update each online form that the state agency marked for correction, and resubmit your packet for review and approval.
