Unassigned Request Allocations

A sponsor can request product quantities from the unassigned inventory at its servicing warehouse. The servicing warehouse offers its unassigned inventory on a first-come, first-served basis.

At any time, unassigned inventory may include the following commodity types: entitlement, entitlement no-charge, and bonus. If a commodity type does not appear in the unassigned inventory list, it means that the servicing warehouse does not have unassigned product in that commodity type at this time.

A sponsor creates an unassigned allocation when it requests products from the unassigned inventory at its servicing warehouse. The unassigned allocation performs these functions:

Charges your organization for the entitlement cost of the product quantities (when appropriate).
Invoices your organization for the related service fees (when appropriate).
Places the product quantities in inventory for your organization at your servicing warehouse.

Notes:

You cannot change or refuse an unassigned request allocation after you submit it.
Unassigned allocations use the "Req" allocation code and appear on the Sponsor Summary - Allocation tab for the sponsors.
Your state agency can turn off the unassigned request feature for the current program year.
