Fair-Share Allocations

Your state agency uses fair-share allocations to assign Food Distribution Program products at a warehouse to the sponsors serviced by the warehouse.

A fair-share allocation uses the fair-share basis number of each participating sponsor. It distributes product quantities in proportion to the sponsor's program participation. Sponsors with larger fair-share basis numbers receive larger quantities of a product than sponsors with smaller fair-share basis numbers

Generally, your organization can refuse all or part of a product quantity on a fair-share allocation. The allocation performs these functions:
