Paid Status
The CNPweb assigns the Paid status on the Sponsor Summary - Claims page for your claim after the state agency posts the claim payment.
You cannot make any changes to a paid claim. However, you can submit a claim revision.
- If your changes result in an upward adjustment, after the state agency approves the claim revision, they pay you the additional amount.
- If your changes result in a downward adjustment, after the state agency approves your next claim, the CNPweb subtracts the overpayment amount from the monies owed to you.
Notes:
- You must follow the USDA guidelines for submitting a claim that results in an upward adjustment.
- You can submit a claim with a downward adjustment as long as the state agency permits claims entry for a program year.
