Order Basics

Your organization's inventory resides at your servicing warehouse. You place orders against your inventory at its servicing warehouse.

When you place an order for your inventory, the CNPweb provides you with a list of all products and quantities grouped by storage type and sorted by product code. You identify the delivery location and the delivery period for each order, and the specific quantity of each desired product.

The CNPweb subtracts each product quantity from your inventory. If you edit or delete the order, it makes the appropriate adjustments to your inventory.

Multiple Allocations for One Product

Some product quantities come from more than one allocation. When you have multiple allocations contributing to the available quantity for the same product, the CNPweb subtracts the ordered quantity from the allocation with the earliest close date.

Sponsor Order Statuses

Each sponsor order moves through these statuses in the CNPweb.

Open. The CNPweb assigns the Open status to new sponsor orders. You can edit and delete orders in the Open status.
Processed. When your state agency sends your order to your servicing warehouse, the CNPweb updates the status to Processed on the Sponsor Summary - Orders tab.
Delivered. When your state agency receives order delivery notices from your servicing warehouse, the CNPweb updates the status to Delivered on the Sponsor Summary - Orders tab.

Notes:

When placing an order, the available quantity includes all product quantities from all allocations for the product.
Your organization orders none, some, or all of the total allocated quantity for each product in your inventory.
Your organization can always view the product details in each order in any status.
By subtracting the ordered quantity from the allocation with the earliest close or expire date, the CNPweb helps your organization avoid excess storage fees and losing your inventory through cleared allocations.
