SNP Basics

The CNPweb provides tools that allow School Nutrition Program sponsor organizations to easily submit, review, and maintain the required program paperwork throughout each program year. As a sponsor, you use the CNPweb to document your participation in the programs.

Before the Program Year

Before the start of the program year, your organization submits its application packet. The state agency reviews and approves your packet, giving your organization access to the rest of the CNPweb features.

During the Program Year

Each operating month, your organization submits reimbursement claims based on the meals activity at your sites. The state agency may review and approve your claims, or the CNPweb may automatically approve your claims. After approval, the state agency authorizes payment to your organization.

Throughout the program year, your organization can change your applications and claims. The state agency reviews and approves revisions to your applications and claims, and authorizes payment adjustments (upward or downward) for your revised claims.

After the Program Year

Your state agency requires your organization to submit an annual financial report that summarizes your financial standing at the end of the program year.
